A new peak in COVID-19 cases has deeply affected our reading areas since September 2020, running across the Upper Midwest. In the early days of November, the Canadian prairies also began seeing elevated numbers.

Despite these problems, the virus is not inevitable.

You can help yourself and the people around you.

Masks, hand sanitizer, and other PPE like gloves and face shields work. If you can avoid or delay a trip or errand, then do so.
