About

Fargo Orbit

We provide Science and Space news with a focus on the centre of North America.

What makes a Fargo Orbit story?

Space development. Cutting-edge research. Science and Technology. And especially if it’s above the McDowell Line!

Space is an out-of-this-world enterprise. We hope to cover unique stories of space engineering from all over Earth, and beyond!

We are also interested in our own backyard. Fargo Orbit will also run a broader range of aviation, science, and engineering stories that have a geographic or human connection with our focus region, which includes:

  • Alberta
  • North Dakota
  • South Dakota
  • Iowa
  • Manitoba
  • Michigan (West & UP)
  • Minnesota
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Saskatchewan
  • Wisconsin
  • Wyoming

with potential interest in nearby areas of the Midwest, Mountain West, and Canada.

Who writes for the Fargo Orbit?

Our content authors are physically present in the United States and Canada, generally but not exclusively within our focus region, and are committed to accuracy and integrity. Our articles are developed by:

  1. Content writers and photographers already members of an approved trade organization that charges dues for membership and enforces a code of ethics.
  2. Professionals associated with a firm or institution in the Fargo Orbit focus region, when edited by the above or subject to an enforceable code of ethics.
  3. Early-career individuals who are adhering to the above standards while working toward suitable qualifications, when edited by any of the above.

Our byline policy is similar to The Economist.
